VIDEO: the “Eislingen rapist” caught in Budapest
A man wanted in Germany for serious sexual crimes and known widely as “the Eislingen rapist” has been apprehended in Budapest in an operation involving Hungary’s counter-terrorism force TEK, police said on its website on Tuesday.
German authorities requested Hungarian police’s help last Wednesday after they had received information that the suspect was staying in Hungary, police said. The information showed that the man was getting treatment in a psychological institution in Budapest which was planning to discharge him within hours. Hungarian authorities checked the location without delay and found that the 25 year-old man was still staying there. TEK was alerted because the suspect’s medical records showed aggressive behaviour and confused mental state in the past. The man was apprehended with the help of TEK officers within two hours and currently awaiting a hearing at court.
